One year ago, an idea was born. The Indian Netizens was born not as an organisation, but as a thought and belief that young Indians like us should have a platform to voice our thoughts on issues that truly matter, both in India and beyond.
In those early days, it felt like we were just a small group of curious and concerned minds who wanted to talk about diplomacy, security, and global affairs but from India's point of view, not copied from the West or shaped by foreign narratives. We felt there weren’t enough platforms that gave young people the space to think, write, or create on these important topics. So, we decided to build one ourselves.
In a time when global narratives are being shaped at a pace faster than ever, India needed more youth-led platforms that could think critically, write strategically, and speak fearlessly. That was the seed. I envisioned a digital diplomacy platform, one that is independent, inclusive, and built entirely by students and young professionals who bring with them diverse regional, academic, and ideological perspectives.
The Indian Netizens is not a typical think tank. It’s a movement of young minds, passionate about global affairs, diplomacy, national security, policy, technology, and governance, who believe in the power of informed discussion and nuanced storytelling. We didn’t want to echo what others were saying; we wanted to craft our own narrative: from an Indian lens, for the world to hear.
We started with nothing but conviction and a small team. Today, we are a growing collective with contributors from leading institutions across India. Together, we write, design, edit, and analyse. Together, we learn, lead, and raise questions that matter. Our focus is not just limited to international relations, we dive into internal security, elections, public policy, OSINT, and more.
At the core of it all is a vision is to nurture a generation that doesn’t just scroll and share, but engages, creates, and shapes. A generation that understands the power of narrative in geopolitics. A generation that isn't waiting for the future, but building it. We want to create a space where no idea is too small, and no background too different. If you’re reading this, you’re already part of this journey. And this journey is just beginning, my friend. Because The Indian Netizens is not mine it belongs to every young Indian who believes we have something to say, and a right to be heard. The goal is not just to inform, but to inspire.
