The Indian Netizens is a youth-led and independent digital diplomacy platform and an emerging think tank. Our name reflects who we are. We represent India’s online citizens, and we actively take part in shaping important national and global conversations. We believe that young people should not only consume information but also help create ideas and narratives. With this belief, we work on areas such as international relations, diplomacy, national security, public policy, governance, defence studies, economic affairs, infrastructure, technology, legal affairs, and internal issues. All our work is viewed from an Indian perspective and guided by India’s national interest.

The Indian Netizens was created to provide a serious and inclusive space for students and young professionals from across India. Here, they can discuss ideas, share knowledge, and contribute research that reflects the goals and challenges of a changing India. What started as a small initiative has grown into a collective of more than 140 contributors from different academic and professional backgrounds. Our members work in research, writing, digital media, policy engagement, and public outreach.

To organise our work, we run six dedicated research centres. These centres focus on global affairs, diplomacy and foreign policy, national security and defence studies, public policy and governance, economic and infrastructure studies, and legal affairs. Each centre supports research, analysis, and publication in its respective field.​
