WHO WE ARE

Where young minds unite to amplify India’s voice on the world stage.
Our name, The Indian Netizens, speaks to our dual purpose: we are both the online citizens of India’s vast digital space and active participants in shaping the conversations that matter. The Indian Netizens is a youth‑led, independent digital diplomacy platform and a budding think tank that aims to amplify India’s voice in global and national conversations. Founded with the belief that young minds should have a stake in shaping narratives, we focus on key areas such as international relations, national security, public policy, technology, governance, and internal affairs — all viewed through an Indian lens.
The idea was born out of a deep need to create a space where students and young professionals from across India could engage in serious discussions, share insights, and produce content that reflects the realities and aspirations of a new India. What began as a small initiative now stands as a growing collective of over 120 bright individuals from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, contributing across research, writing, digital media, policy engagement, and public outreach.
At the heart of our work are seven dedicated research verticals:-
-
Our Global Affairs and Diplomacy Research Centre examines India’s role on the world stage, from multilateral forums to bilateral ties.
-
The Defence and Strategic Studies Research Centre explores security challenges and military developments.
-
Our Internal Affairs and Political Research Centre delves into domestic governance, electoral trends, and social policy.
-
The Governance and Public Policy Research Centre analyses reform initiatives, regulatory frameworks, and administrative best practices.
-
The Economic and Infrastructure Development Research Centre studies growth models, investment climates, and critical infrastructure projects.
-
The Legal Affairs and Studies Research Centre provides analysis on constitutional law, regulatory changes, and judicial trends.
-
Finally, our Strategic Web, AI, Semiconductor & Tech Intel Kendra (SWASTIK) is currently under development to track emerging technologies, digital infrastructure, and India’s tech diplomacy.
To bring our insights to a wider audience, we publish Bharat Samvaad, a monthly magazine (bi‑monthly for special editions) featuring in‑depth articles, interviews, and case studies on the most pressing topics of the day. Every morning, our social media feeds share a concise, informative carousel post that keeps followers updated on key developments in policy, security, and technology.
Our mission is simple: to make India’s youth not just aware but involved, not just informed but expressive. We strive to create content that educates, inspires, and challenges the mainstream narrative. From articles and podcasts to visual explainers and campaigns, our work speaks for a generation that wants to think critically and act responsibly.
In the spirit of diplomatic outreach, we plan to host virtual roundtables with youth‑led organisations from other countries, draft policy briefs for foreign missions, and facilitate student exchanges focused on international relations. We are committed to deepening youth engagement through interactive webinars, mentorship schemes, and campus ambassadors, empowering young Indians to speak up on India’s foreign policy and national security discourse. By cultivating these connections and dialogues, we aim to foster a more informed and confident generation ready to carry India’s perspectives to every corner of the globe.
Looking ahead, The Indian Netizens envisions expanding into a full‑fledged interdisciplinary think tank, launching research programmes, fellowships, and collaborations both in India and abroad. We see ourselves becoming a bridge between policymakers and the public, between digital expression and strategic thinking. It’s just the beginning and we’re just getting started.
